SRA – Gold Sponsor at IREFCON, 2026

Shinagawa Refractories Australasia will be attending IREFCON 2026 as a Gold Sponsor, joining refractory producers, plant operators and researchers from across the region for the industry’s main technical programme.

This year’s symposium is focussing on the development of state-of-the-art refractory materials, with an emphasis on advancements driven by evolving industrial processes and the introduction of novel technologies.

For our technical group the interest is practical. A great deal of the material development presented at these events is aimed at exactly the conditions our customers are running in now — higher throughput, more variable feed, and shorter windows to do anything about either.

Every lining lives in a set of conditions before it lives in a vessel: the chemistry it meets, the thermal cycle it rides, the abrasion it takes at the wear face, and the access the crew gets when it is time to put a new one in. Change any one of those and the right answer moves.

Members of our engineering and materials teams will be there across the programme. If you are attending and want to talk through a vessel, a campaign result, or something you are planning for next year, it is a good chance to do it in person.
